Research Interests: DNA sequence features related to evolution; genomic and epigenomic variations associated with human health and disease; and genomic basis in precision medicine.

Research experience is related to the computational and statistical analysis of the structural organization of vertebrate genome sequences and its relationship with different genomic functions (45 whole genome sequences from different taxonomic groups were included in the PhD project). As a postdoctoral researcher, I conducted a computational comparative analysis of four rodent genomes, analysis of organizational heterogeneity of the wheat genome, large-scale analysis of epigenomic variants in Ashkenazi Jewish centenarians, and the role of copy-number variants in the development of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Other Scientific Interests: Nutrigenomics, personalized nutrition, personalized medicine, evidence-based medicine.
